Dear Ones All

Royal Flying Corps,
Dec. 24, 1915.

Dear Ones All,

The above address will find me for some little time.

I have been disappointed in getting leave over Xmas and none of us will be able to get off until New Years. It’s a little tough, but after all it doesn’t matter so very much, as there isn’t much we could do. We are billeted in a house on the outskirts of Norwich. The aerodrome is about two miles from the city, and we were taken out this morning in a military motor car. We reported and were assigned to a pilot. With two of the other boys I am assigned to a Lieut. Barrett, who appears to be a good scout.

We had lunch at the officers mess here and will take all our meals here hereafter. A motor will take us to and from our billet every day. The house is empty now but they are supplying us with lots of furniture, beds, mattresses &c. All we shall have to buy is a supply of blankets and towels.

I imagine we shall start flying at once. They were doing a little this morning but the weather was unsuitable.

This is all for now, Dear People,
Yours with much love,
