Dear Gladys -:

Your most welcome letter received yesterday and with pleasure I now drop a few lines in answer.

I wrote to Tom last Sunday but have no answer yet that fellows name that got his leg broke in the wreck is Sam Hamilton he comes from Powassen he is in the Base Hospital Toronto now have you not saw Jack Tall yet he should of got there last Saturday his discharge papers were waiting for him when we came back of Pass

How did Ross Piget come to shoot himself was he very badly hurt

It is raining like the duce down here today but we dont mind that for it gives us a rest of the drill and this is the way I am putting in the time writing letters am sending you a couple of flags will try and save you some more well I must close now so bye by for this time,
