Dear Mother

Just a line to let you know I am still here This is going to be another one of those poor letters I write as I have not had any mail this week and I wrote all the news last time.

Although we have been expecting to leave this country for nearly a year we are still here and I dont know of anything that sounds like moving out. The weather still keeps fine and warm with beautiful cool moonlight nights. I suppose though you will be having the same now as it is well on in the summer at home. The girls said there were no boys at the beach last year, I dont know who will be there this year as men must be scarcer than ever at home.

No doubt you saw by the papers where I lost my pal if I did not write and tell you before. We started out together from Vancouver. The rest of the boys here are all fairly well at present but most of us would like to see Canada again for awhile.

Well Mother dear I dont know of anything to write so I had better close and go to bed Give my love to all the kids and Dad also my friends and relatives Bye Bye with lots of love

Harold.
