Dec 10.

Dear Phyllis, Ed, and Jane,

After a very long delay I again write to you this time to wish you all the best wishes for a "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" and again to say how much I hope we shall all be together again next year. – I have not had any mail for a long time now so I have not much to say. I cannot tell you where I am unfortunately but am well and having the odd good party. I cannot say that I am looking forward to Christmas with any enormous zest but undoubtedly it will pass O.K. I am with a few old friends so we should be able to get something going.

I am anxiously waiting news of baby brother but don't know just when he is due – I hope you will let me know.

I will close now with love to you all and a big hug and kiss for Jane.

All the best,
Hammie
