Dear Phyllis, Ed, Jane and Mary Ann,

I was delighted to get a letter from you last night giving me all information I have been waiting for. – I again say how delighted I am to have another niece. It suits me a lot better than a nephew. I only hope it won’t be long before I am presenting you with some nieces for a change. – Nothing much of interest is happening to me. At last there is quite a bit of interest but I am not allowed to tell you all about it. You will just have to wait (not too long, I hope). – We have two new Canadians in our squadron, Anderson from Edmonton and Asbridge from Trenton. That will not mean much to you but it means a lot to me. It will help prevent the dreaded English Accent. – Well that’s all I have got to say – Next letter I should be able to tell more. In closing let me say again that I am proud of you all and not an opportunity goes by but I tell everybody about you.

With much love,
Hampton.

P.S. Was very glad to hear that Leigh was home safely.
