Dear Mildred and John:–

Just a few lines Sis as I have a chance to send this to the delta with Sel. He is going on business but Jeff and Grant and I are staying in the desert. I am keeping O.K. spent today fixing my log book, doing some washing, made a few shelves for our stuff and had a hot bath. oh yes I helped put up two EP.I.P.s too for the officers mess. Sel is messing officer for the mess now so if I can manage I’ll try to get a shotgun and do some duck shooting one of these days. You see we can organize a party, take a truck and go shooting ducks the bag to be for the mess. Then when Sel gets back we hope to get a bit of leave and expect to get a plane to go where we like. It’s just as close to England as the delta but I’m afraid we can’t get permission to go outside the M.E. command. However we are having quite a good time now and I think Gerry is almost as good as out on his ear by the time you get this. Anyhow my love again –

Lawrence
