Dearest Pat.

Im sorry that I waited so long before writing you again but weve had a bit of leave and I think you know what leave is like. Well sweet how is everything back home, I still would like to be back there with you. Youve no idea of how much Ive missed you since Ive left you. Ill bet youve heard that so many time in my letters that its beginning to sound like a line but darling believe me its no line I really mean it.

Well we are beginning to have a little hope as to when we will be coming home and I think that it will be some time before Christmas (cross your fingers).

Hows is Dorie getting along now that she hasn’t got Johnny with her And speaking of Johnny I havent recieved any answer to my letters to him yet I dont know what to make of it. Will you be the sweet little dear that you are and ask Dorie if she wouldnt mention it to Johnny and find out if hes recieved any letters from me

Well sweetheart Ill have to say good bye or maybe I shouldnt say that, so long til the next time.

All My Love
Lawrence
