Letter

Ottawa, Canada
7th December, 1942.

Mrs. P.E. Quinlan,
21 Athlone Apartments,
Calgary Alberta.

Dear Mrs. Quinlan,
Further to my letter of September 22nd, advice has been received from the Roayl Canadian Air Force Officer, Overseas, that your son, Flying Officer Dennis John Quinlan, was buried on August 22nd, at Esbjerg, Denmark.

Presumption of Death Actions is being instituted by the Air Ministry and when your son's death has been officially presumed you will be advised.

You will wish to know that you son was promoted to the rank of Flying Officer with effect from July 8th, 1942.

May I again offer you and Mr. Quinlan, my deepest sympathy.

Yours sincerely,
(W.R. Gunn) Flight Lieutenant,
RCAF Casualties Officer,
or Chief of the Air Staff.
