Dear family

Just a quick note to enclose a couple of snaps and some stage money we use here, when we can buy anything. The snaps are clipped to fit the envelope, not to censor them, & the remarks on the back are Kay's, who took the snaps.

I wrote to you yesterday, so there nothing much of news, except that I still grace the same hole, still waiting for a posting.

Tommy Trenholme was through on his way back to Staff College, & said he'd telephone you & give you the news.

I'm now running a squadron in this reinforcement battalion at the moment, but its very dull, and the sooner I get up to the unit the better. I'll get the first or second captain's vacancy that turns up, I'm not sure which, because there's a very Senior guards captain here too, although I suspect the unit may not want him much. Young Con Porteous is here at the moment, seems to me he was almost in short pants when I left.

Well, all my love to you all Geoff
