Dear Mother

Thank you very much for your letters & the Wool, I am getting along fine with my Sweater, I have pretty near finished it now.

We have had quite a cold spell lately, & it is still rather cold.

I was rather suprised to hear that Sam was moving, I only been in Holland once so of course I dont know the place that he is going too; I liked Goldstone, but the Farm there always seemed to be very unhandy.

Is Wally Lea married yet? & where does he live now, he move from Stoke didnt he? That Dentist that was in this Camp has gone away, I was lucky enough to get my teeth stopped before he went, but of course I cant get them crowned now, so dont trouble to send the money, unless you have already sent it. I am getting my Parcels all right, I had one from Emmy yesterday, I havent had any from Maggie for couple of weeks but of course, there is a lot of mail coming into the Camp & it take sometime to Censor it all.

I was very sorry to hear that young Evans had been wounded, I expect that his mother would be in an awful way about it.

Quite alot of the fellow have gone to Switzerland, mostly with Weak Hearts, & ramming Wounds, I am afraid I am to healthy to pass myself. I expect it will be almost Xmas when you get this Letter, I hope that you will all have a Happy time, & dont worry at all about me, I am all right.
I hope that the Boys are not as busy as they were, but now they are so short Handed I'm afraid that they must be.

Give my love to Emmy & tell her I wish her a very happy Xmas & little Joan too I only wish I could be with you all.

I remain

your loving Son

Tom.
