Shorncliffe Camp,
Dec. 3., '16.

Dear Lulu

This is just a hurried note. I have received orders to entrain for the "Front" tonight, or early tomorrow morning. I have the honor to be in the first draft taken from the 209th. We are to be taken into the 102nd Batt.; where that is I dont know of course but I expect to find out pretty soon. You had better write to the old address however and then I may get the letters. I have had just the one letter from you so far, I am looking for more.

Give my kind regards to your mother and father.

With kindest regards
Yours Tom.

P.S. Address:

No. 252656, Pte Thos. W. Johnson
B. Coy., 209th Batt.,
Canadian Contingent, B.E.F. Army P.O., London.
