Dear Mr. Johnson,

Behold before you tangible proof of a New Years Resolution to get off all letters due and resting on my conscience sometime within six months from date, preferably sooner.

I was not sure whether I was to write whether I was to write, or Miss Ducker. She has your address and I have the addresses you want. However, if accidentally we should both happen to drop you a few lines maybe you will be able to withstand the shock.

How is your arm? I am hoping that our Canadian Doctors may out-do your best expectations and successfully accomplish another of their modern miracles in your case as they have in so many others. Very best of good luck and good wishes!

I just walked home from Church. It's a Glorious night (spelled with a capital "G"). Did men ever feel as if you could walk, - well to set a limit somewhere within the bounds of human possibility say a thousand miles, but stipulate that it be not over ploughed fields just after a spring rain, or on a forced route march. That's how I feel tonight. But I knew if I once started on such a little jaunt then might be grave doubts. Entertained as to whether I would return in time to finish off this batch of mail. So instead here I am.

I had a letter from Jesse Cross about a week ago in which he told me all about your little outing with him.

Well, I've a bunch of other letters to write so I'll content myself with cutting this short and giving the address you want. I shall be glad to hear how you are getting along.

Most sincerely,
Lillian S. Johnston.
