Dear Mother
Just a line to let you know I am well hopeing you and John are the same and I hope things are going alright with you it must be hard for you I often feel sorry for you but me being sorry dont do no good now. But cheer up better times are coming and some of those days Ill be going home.
Harry is out here somewhere but I have not seen him yet how does Jane take him being out here. its not too bad but I would sooner be at home
Tell John I am going to send him some buttons just as soon as I can get a little box to put them in
I just got a box from Liverpool thay send me a box near every week thay are awfull good you will have to excuse the writeing becouse the pencil I have is about 1 inch long allmost to small to handle. Well good bye for now
