My Dear Mother-
I wrote last just before sailing from Italy - we arrived at Alexandria two days ago and had a very pleasant trip across. No submarines thank goodness.
You probably have the letter I wrote first before leaving England by now. I was going to wire but didn't think it worthwhile.
It is lovely and warm here & we go in the sea swimming every morning.
Before leaving Italy I wrote cards to Temple & Joe & Theo King but couldn't post them till I got here.
I expect the same crowd of boys are around Whitby - with no thoughts of joining the army. They will be of no use as soldiers even if Conscription does pass.
D'ont expect we'll do much work here as its too hot - did a good deal of flying in England before coming out so can take things easy for awhile. Its not likely I'll be going back to France.
This probably wont reach you till about Xmas - so I hope Mother Dear you have a very happy one and that my cheque arrived alright.
Best Love to all our friends.
Your Loving son
Cullen
