Dear Mr. Johnson;

Your welcome letter received today & am glad to know you are getting along so well. Enlisted in Calgary on May 25th & arrived in England July 4th. Did not do a tap of soldiering in Canada as I was home from the time of enlisting until leaving for overseas on June 13th. Have received quite a lot of Canadian mail lately. The last from home was dated Oct. 16th & they were all well. They had the first snow of the season that day & Dad said it was about as bad a blizzard as he ever saw. He got lost going from the store to the farm. Am going to France on the next draft, probably in 2 or 3 weeks time. Am in the YMCA & very difficult to write as a concert is in full swing. Will be glad to hear from you any time you are able to write.

Yours sincerely,

W. J. Weismiller
