Dear Mom:

Here I am again it is a few days since I last wrote and a lot has happened since then. The first thing is that I am at the trade school in Hamilton. The next I spent the weekend in Toronto at the home of one of the boys that I have been chumming around with since I arrived in Halifax. It just happened that he is on the same course that I am.

We had passes from six Friday night until six Monday morning. We left here and hitchhiked in, that got us to his place at about eight o'clock. That wasn't bad time to say we had about thirty-five miles to go. That night we did not do anything but Saturday afternoon we went to see "Stage Door Canteen" and that night we went roller skating at the Arena. It was sure grand there, the floor is about the size of the Forum. It is an old ice rink that has had a roller skating floor laid in it.

Sunday afternoon we went swimming then that night we went to a band concert before we started back.

Arrived back at camp at 1:10. The boy's name is Clive MacDonald, a swell kid.

His Mother & Dad asked me to come in again the next time that I get a chance. They were swell and made me feel right at home all the time I was there.

It looks as though I have at last landed here for 12 weeks, then where I don't know. I asked today if I could get my leave when I finish and I was told that it might be possible. If I can get it from here it will save me time and money.

This is just a short note as the boys are waiting for me to go to a show with them now.

The course starts tomorrow. I will let you know more about it in the next letter.
