Dear Enid & Gail,
At last I've got down to writing you a few lines. I've been here only a few days and have been busy getting documents fixed up and having a check up. I hope to finish to-day and expect to get leave by Wed or Thurs. I get two wks here then return home for another four. Say I wish I was going straight home but it's nice to have a leave here.
I found out where Ivan is and will try and see him to-night. I'm only a few miles from him. I hope he will be able to get leave with me and I'm going to give his officer a good story if he doesn't.
Well I don't think there's much to say till I see you all and I hope that's real soon. Cheerio for now. Hope Cecil has his rod ready for fishing & love to all.
As ever,
Gerald
