No 424447 F Coy 32 Res Battn Risboro Barrks Shorncliffe 14/12/15 Dear Sister I received your box on Sunday thanks for the same well we have been having a little better weather here this last day or two but I think we are in for a change to night as it is getting a bit cloudy. Well I would not be a bit surprised if there is some of us in France before the New Year but we never know when we will go but it is about time we were getting some where, as it is nearly a year since I enlisted and I thought then that I would be in the trenches before this time we may not go before the New Year so I may be home or I may not but time will tell. We are busy with our shooting just no. we were at it all last week and it will take us most of this week if not more, well I have not very much more to say this time thanks for the compliment but I don't think I deserve it. Well I will close now hope this finds you all well as it leaves me fine. I remain Your loving brother Alex
