No 424447 45th Reinforcements Napier Barracks Shorncliffe 9/10/15 Dear Sister I received your letter and also the box yesterday thanks very much for the scones they were fine, I don't know when I will be able to get up, I don't know how I can get to Dumfries by six in the morning if I leave London at midnight I have to change at Carlisle and it is about six before I get left there again, that is as far as I can learn from anybody that has been that way they say that the midnight Express does not stop at Dumfries, but I will see I don't know what line would be the best to go with, I don't know whether I told you we were going into Barracks or that we were in them, we were supposed to go into them but we are not in them yet, and I don't think we will be for a while, as they have put up some more tents for us and put wooden floors into them, we have had quite a lot of rain down here last week, but it is nice to day again, I think that is all this time. I remain Your loving brother Alex
