France 12/10/16 Dear Sister I received your ever welcome letter and parcel a few days ago thanks very much for the same, I got the letter while I was in the trenches, but they kept the parcel out until we came out which was just as well, every thing was in good shape and the socks were fine, I won't need any more for a while now unless I lose some of them, but I will let you know as soon as I do, the weather has been very fair out here this last few days but we did have some very wet cold weather about the first of last week.
