We ran into a fog today early and we were very nearly in a collision with one of the other transports, but just managed to avoid it. Our whistle is blowing constantly. The ship is rolling heavily today and there are a lot of men sick on board. I am one of the sick ones. Pat has been in bed all day but it is not seasickness. I shall be very glad when this voyage is finished because I must admit I am a very poor sailor. I forgot to tell you that all our portholes have to be covered at night in case we meet any hostile ships, but I don't think there is much danger just yet, but we might have to be still more careful about next Tuesday. Still I believe with luck we will get through.
