Mr. J. Senton
(J.G. Sparling) Squadron Leader

Royal Canadian Air Force

3rd June, 1944.

Mr. J. Senton,

Dear Mr. Senton:

A short time ago you were notified by Air Force Headquarters that your son, Warrant Officer Claude Senton, was reported as missing after air operations Overseas on the 24th May, 1944.

This information must have been a real shock, and I am asking you to accept my personal sympathy as well as that of the Air Officer Commanding, and all the members of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Occasionally, boys who have been declared missing, turn up in various ways, so there is still a little ray of hope. You can rest assured that any further information which may be received about your son will be forwarded to you without delay.

For anxious people, there is a great comfort in the Bible, "Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you." "For I am persuaded that neither life nor death...can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." These words will be a real help to you, when in your prayers, you command your son into the keeping of an all-loving God.

Yours very sincerely,

(J.G. Sparling) Squadron Leader,

Command Chaplain (P),

No.4 Training Command,

Calgary, Alberta.
