Dearest Dad Mother Bro & Sis & Duke,

Just received two of Lorraine's most welcome letters and very pleased to hear from home. I also received a letter from Joyce Cole, Denise and Blanche so am rather busy answering them. Well as to when I'll be going home I don't really know so I've hit it at a bad time cause they have sent some of our boat's to the far East and there is two getting ones hauled so that doesn't leave very many to take us boys home. I do hope thought that in four week's time I shall see myself home.

So cheer up I'll be home for Christmas for sure this year. I'll be able to get to helping Dad more or less learning how to handle a few things by spring. I should be fit to go to it like a man ha. Ha.

Never the less I've made the last move now the next one is to the boat so cheer up it won't be long now.

Must go now from your Son , Brother who loves you all so very much. My God keep you save until my return and chin up now o'ld chap.

As ever Louis
