May 26 - Opened bright and warm. Chief Poundmaker and about 300 of his braves, including councillors and wives, arrived and gave themselves up to General Middleton and staff. Had big "pow-wow" lasting several hours. It was a great spectacle - a colorful one. All Indians disarmed. Poundmaker and five others made prisoners and locked up in Fort Battleford. The 92nd arrived by boat from Prince Albert at 7 p.m.
