Capt. W.T. Ruggles
Commanding B. Co. 85 Batt.
Mr. C.L. Gass
It is a matter of personal satisfaction for me to be able to write you in reference to the good work of your son Reg, now a sergeant in B. Co.
A short time ago it was my good fortune to be in a position where I could recommend Reg for promotion to the commissioned rank. Just when he will be able to take his officers course in England it is impossible for me to say. But I have written because I felt it would be of especial interest to you to know that his good work and sterling qualities have not escaped the attention of his company officers.
Walter T. Ruggles.
