My Dear Mother

Just a few lines in answer to your very welcome letter glad to see by them you are all well. I am not sure when I will get my Pass now I guess I will be home for Xmas which I hope to I will be home all alone I am not bringing my friend with me as he is going to his sisters place. I was surprised to here about J Wilson being married where is he living is he living with his father yet let me know and I will drop him a P.C. Can you find out for me where Bill McGuffin is living in Belfast for I may have time to go and see him that is the way I am going home. There is two Belfast fellows in the same Platoon as me one of them got some Soda Bread and some Oxo Cubes sent to him and he give me some of them last night for supper and believe me it went down good. Well about the money I am not sure when you will get it but you will get it all in a lump for the papers have to go to Ottawa Canada to be fixed up but don't worry about it for you will get it all right for you have to give them some time to get it fixed up. Dear Mother I just heard now we are going pass the Wed before Xmas but I am not sure if it is true or not. Tell Beatie & Mable I will drop them a P.C. I just droped Anie M Kenna a few lines tell Poor Old Lizzie I was asking for I think I will close now as I have no more news at present I will let you know when I am going home for sure before I go.
I remain your loving son Willie
