Dear Mother,
I received your letter this afternoon and was very sorry to here about pa, well I am glad to here the rest of you are all well and that. I is trying to help you out a bit, don't you goe sending me anything here because I can do without were you cant now, we don't get very much you know now, But I can stand it, Fred Duff's brother seen me the Sunday night we left Toronto and told me to try and see his brother in the 75th. Well mother I think this will be all this time hoping you all remain well and that pa pulls through allright, tell Gla she knows my address and to write well good Bye & good luck.
