Dear Mom

I just received your parcel of bars & gum for which I can't thank you enough. It sure is a change to get a good bar, the ones we can ocassionaly buy are just plain chocolate with no milk or nuts & taste like nothing on earth.

This may or may not be of any interest to you but I was just over to see our good friend Fanny. Doesn't seem to have much to say for himself but is the same as ever, cheerful & regretful that he ever left the shores of ‘good old Canada.'

You were inquiring about the watch you sent me, in your last letter its in fine shape & hasn't stopped yet.

Will be waiting for your next letter. Lots of lover

Nelly
