Dear Mother,

Rec'd your parcel last night O.K. Syd was with me at the time and we shared up.

I guess you can see by the paper that we've been having a pretty lively time. Syd even went so far as to get recommended. Whether he will get anything out of it I don't know.

I have had several letters from you. So has Syd including one from Bessie. Leave has opened up again so I guess Dad will be living in hopes again.

I have written very few letters lately. Had a letter from Jack. He is still O.K. Evert is sick in Blighty.

Forgot to acknowledge Eva's letter which came in yours. Give her my love when you see her. Did I tell you I received a letter from Miss Lumsden?

Weather quite nice and warm here now.

Much love,

Frank
