Dear Doris,

Excuse the note but I have so very many letters to write lately. The King and Queen were at this camp and reviewed us, but the picture shows her passing the Australians. We were two deep on both sides of the road, and they both walked down between us. I think the Canadians (four deep) reached at least ¼ mile.

Am getting along fine but expect to be here about two weeks yet. I asked several people to address me, care of you, so when the letters arrive (there will only be a few) will you send them on. You see if they write me from Can in answer to my letters, I won't likely be here. Well bye bye.

Remember me to Grandma. George.
