Dear Father,

Just a couple of line to-day to let you know that I am alive and well. I got a very slight scalp wound also a slight wound on my left shoulder, but expect to be away back to the battalion in a few days, so you can address me there. The parcel hadnt arrived when I left two days ago Most likely it will be rewired to London. I suppose I shall get it eventually. I Believe both J.R. Thompson and Coll from Port Alberni were killed but I am not absolutely sure. I wrote to Doris to-day. Will you write to mother. I will try and write to her myself tomorrow. Well So long for a day or two

Your Loving Son
George
