Dear Folks-

Well I actually received some mail. Some of the mail was date June 11 and some July 18. Those letters like this come over in good time. Just use the address I put on the back it is sufficient.

For the last 4 weeks I've been on a course which was a lot like the training I got at Shilo. We were in tents and I got my fill of camping out for this year and several to come I hope.

Its hard to find anyone over here especially if they are in the services because of security reasons and several other things. Glad to hear Harold Davis got home O.K. If you got him he could tell you as much as I cold about things over here. The boys I chum around with are boys from Regina and Western Canada. I've known them for almost 2 years so don't know as I can't complain. I would like to see the boys from home but can't says I miss them. I was in the camp Cecil Hedges is at one night but didn't even find him. Raymond Smith is over here in fact he was on the same course, but we usualy chum up with fellows that think and act alike.

I haven't been anywhere this last week because I'm broke. My chash book hasn't been sent to me yet. In fact Im writing this on a Saturday nite. I've got a very nice date for tomorrow nite and it will be cheap believe me. Edna writes that Ivan has changed his tactics. I think Ivan would loose control of himself over here with all these beautiful females, course I'm different and am therefore not worried.

Hope it has rained since you last wrote and has Uncle Howards changed their minds on registered live stock yet. I wish I was home to see what I always believed about good cattle being worth the little extra bit of trouble. I haven't seen any wonderful herds over here but they say this is the wrong part of England.

Can't think of much else, glad you met Harold because what he would say is right and things here are not near as bad as they could be. Things are rationed to a science and no one suffers to any exent.

Yours truly Harvey
