Dull but fine. Secured a letter from the General to Can. Rep. Col. Sims to the effect that I wished to get into Regimental of Battalion work and although he regretted he could not place me in the kind of work he thought an officer with my experience and record for good work should be placed. I wrote the letter myself and the General signed it.

I told him I would visit the Col. myself. He left for the hospital at Lincourt this afternoon.
