[missing beginning of letter]

& my first memory of Dad's bank-premises-beautification-programs; the picnics to Assinoboine park, - the "Chevrolet," - then Spring Valley; my party, Ruth Moss who kissed me one day while I was a sick soldier for the kids to play nurse with, & the boats on the mid-town slaugh - & the McElroys (did you know Bob was at Varsity when I was) & the Austrians at Church, & Dick Lowe spilling his beer in his plate at dinner, & trips to Moose Jaw with Dad including the eventful day Polly was born.

& then Rivistino! We had some great times. Sure hope we have lots more. Thanks for telling me about Bill & Harry; I'm glad he got skates. You can announce to those two brothers of mine, they are coming along nicely as athletes & 'Joes' but that just now is exactly time to commence to study for Spring exams - for they should have at least a solid "B" grade at the back of their other activities. Keep writing mother & get Dad to stick in his little notes - I like them Fine. All my love mother mine -

Your son John

P.S. If I dont write for some intervals - its only because the work prevents it.

P.S. I'll tell you when your parcels come - thanks in anticipation.
