Hello Buck,

How’s the tub of lard today? Still breaking benches at the D.C.H.S.

No more poker for me for a while. Since our transport plane pranged I haven’t even a shirt to lose. We’ve got the stores hashers working over time now fitting us all out again. What a zoot squadron all in our new clothes. We look like a bunch of sprogs. Had a few snaps I could have sent you but they are lost now too. However, have a few in the process. There is plenty of film to buy here. Not much shortage of so-called luxuries is apparent at all. Guess the natives couldn’t eat films and perfume tho. Theres a bottle of perfume on the way for you. Don’t forget those chocolates for my Jeannie or I’ll cream you.

Thanks for the snap. Guess the camera just couldn’t take it. I notice the background turned out O.K.

Glad you got mum a nice present. Forgot to tell her to buy herself a $20 hat. What the hang, you only live once. I always thought hats did wonders for a womans morale. Tell mum to jump right in with both feet and never think twice about it.

No more said about my pen that fell on its nib. To judge by your writing, your new one is no screaming wonder either.

Two hundred of the best isn’t so bad. Joining the ranks of the filthy rich are you? Anyway its a good show.

How are you making out with the boys. Wait till they get a whiff of that perfume you had specially imported from Paris. That’ll wow ‘em. Leave a few for the other girls tho! No need to monopolize them all.

Am chomping on the gum you enclosed in the letter right now. The carton from the company will be along in due course. Thanks a lot.

Whats this about you turning into a school marm. I’d sure like to see your attempts on the business end of a strap. Could you hit the side of a barn door with a handful of buck shot?

Saul there is.
Sandy
