Yesterday I came back to the rest camp at Renningheist. And maybe I wasn't glad. That Dickebush job is no cinch. Seven days a week and no let-up of any kind. And it was such a change to sleep at night again instead of half during the day.

Today King George and Sir Douglas Haig visited the camp and our little hut was the only one he visited. We intend putting up the Royal coat of arms and a notice saying "Patronized by Royalty."
