C.4 No.1 War Hospital Reading
April 22nd /17.

Dear Arthur,

I shall be delighted to see you and Mrs. Leighton any time you could make it, and have made enquiries and think there are a couple of trains stop here for Bristol one at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. which is the fast one, if they would not be to late for you. There's a street car from the station right to the gate, which takes five minutes, and from London there are several trains which take three quarters of an hour

got a shrapnel bullet in the fleshy part of my back, it was taken out on the 5th of this month and the wound is healing up in great shape and should be allowed up in a week's time, hoping to have the luck to see you both.

Yours sincerely, Colin Morris
