Dear Mrs Addison:-

I thought you would be pleased to know I received your parcel which came to me as quite a surprise I can assure you. The parcel was completely intact and not in the slightest, damaged.

I was intensely pleased with the contense particularly the sweater which fits me perfectly and I send you my most sincere gratification, also my wishes to you and your family for a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

By the way if you happen to know a Mr Cleland who used to be one of my teachers at Public School I wish you would give him my regards, that’s if you by chance know or see him as I do not wish to cause you any inconvenience. The reason I ask you Mrs Addison is, that by the labels on your parcel I understand you are in some way attached to the school board and Mr Cleland was at one time my teacher and Basketball Coach.

I hope one day soon this mess will all end and I will certainly call on you and thank you personally for your voluntary effort which is deeply appreciated amongst the boys when they receive such pleasant surprises such as I have received.

Sincerely Yours.,

Allan Kean.
