Wednesday, August 22nd.

I was flying yesterday and today, about an hour each and was stunting most of the time and getting familiar with my machine. Quite good sport.

I expect to do some real work tomorrow or next day, weather permitting. We have a splendid mess, 50 francs a week. I am very late tonight but we don't dine until about 9 when all are back from patrols over the line, etc. There is so much to be discussed. We usually grab a couple of hours sleep during the afternoon. It is very fine and warm.
