Dear Ollie:-

Just a line to let you know am still kicking and not feeling too bad for an old chap like myself.  Got your letter dated Apr. 30th.  Sorry to hear Daddy is having bad luck with his drive but reckon there will be water enough yet before the spring is over.  We are having great weather here no rain but desperate hot.  It’s much hotter than last year.  I believe I would rather fight in the winter for the dust sure does clog up our throats in good shape.  I sleep out under a tree when one is to be had and not too much scrap iron flying around.  Am sorry to hear Noble had to come back here for am afraid it’s not going to be healthy around here this summer.  Too hot!  Glad to hear Angus got home for I did not think he would make the grade.  Hope I can get back in as good a shape as he did.  I won’t kick if I do.  Well can’t think of anything to write so will quit for this time.

Love to all

Jack
