My Dearest Mother

I rec your letter today & sorry to hear you have been sick hope you are all O.K. now I am feeling fine & eating like a Horse, it has been rainning nearly every day here sense we came down, it rains a fue minutes & then the sun will shine a fue minutes & goes on like that all the time, there was about 150 soldiers came in town today there will be 800 come in thursday & another 800 on saterday, & by the end of next week there will be about 4000 soldiers here three time the populaition of the town, Duff Stwart came up today & I was driving him around in the car all after noon Capt Russell is going back to Victoria to–tomorrow so I guess I will loose my good job when he goes, I might be back to Vancr a week from Saterday, some one was saying that there is some of us going back then, so I guess I will be one.

Gee it is a lonesome town some time I don’t know what to do with myself. I wish Emily was here, I sure do like that kid. But I hope to be back in Vancr inside two weeks anyway, Give every body my love & give Emily a kiss for me. tell Hazel & Greta I will write some of these nights, But as I have no good place to write I hat to start there is always so much noise, there is so much noise now I can hardly write, and as there is no news I will close, hoping to hear from you soon
