My Dear Ollie

Your loving letter received OK saw the little Photos and they are fine I would like to be on Temagami Lake just now I have been here thirteen months now and damned well fed up with it I hope conscription goes there so it will give some of the boys a chance to get back and have a rest for we have quite a bunch that should go back some of our men are not fit to work hard now I have about thirty men Here from the front lines and they are not fit for hard work they should be sent home the poor fellows have done there bit and it is up to some of those slackers to take there place now for this thing is not over by a damned sight.

I suppose the mines are humming full blast now as silver is so high well I would just like to go prospecting again for a rest.

So I will close for now with my love to you all your affectionate
