Dear Gladys

Just a few lines to let you know I am well at present and hoping this may find you all the same

So they are getting after all the boys around home well it is nothing but right for a lot of them but some have reasons to stay

I think there are a few lucky ones around there yet the ones you mentioned in your letter who havent been called on yet. Did I send you one of my photos I had some taken the other day I will send you one when I get them Well you were wanting to know if I had seen Pete Tarr yes we are in the same hut together and we sure have some time. How is you mother and father I had a letter from your mother a few days ago.
