Well Gladys,

Just a few lines to let you know that I’m well, hoping this will find yous all the sane and I recived your welcome letter yesterday, which was rote May 7, and was sure glad to here from you, and, also your photoes they was sure nice, the road and the fields looked like home.

I got the box yous sent me O.K. them socks was dandy. I got a box yesterday frome the D.Y.B of Sundridge it was a nice box Mrs Ray sent it her name was in it, and I got a pair of socks that Mrs Mack Cristie knit they was a nice pair of socks. I have had 5 boxes sence I came to England, John sent me a box some time ago but I havent got it yet Earnest said he was sending me a box but I havent recived his box yet I have onely had to letters from Earnest yet you tell him to rite or I’ll mock the D, out of him when I get back

O yes I rote to Harold as soon as I got his adress, he aint far from me, I’m goining to see him the first chance I git.

Well Gladys they aint much news to rite I rote a letter to your dad the other day and I can’t think of much news to rite so I think I’ll close for this time.

Be sure and rite often and give me all the news so by by,
