Dear Mother:

Another week has flown by and this is the second day of another one. When I think about the date here I imagine your letters from me take practically six or seven weeks I will have to write your Christmas letter in a month or five weeks.

I can scarcely credit that two years will soon have flown since I made my departure from the West. It is now over twenty months.

We have not had any mail this week and I dont suppose we will have till the first week in Oct. The last two mails were very close together but three weeks should be the average time between English mail.

I am sending a snap of a few of us down here, it is the only one I have of me at present. I am quite well Mother dear so dont worry. Give my regards to the folks around the old burg and lots of love to yourself and the rest of the family

Bye Bye
Harold.
