My Dear Sister,

After much waiting, some mail has at last come thro. Besides yours of the 8th, I have two from Dad, one from the Mater, one from Mae and two from Inez. O! it was good to get them all and I am so glad that Dad is stronger.

I am sending this to Toronto, to be forwarded, as you say the Manhattan, but the Mater said elsewhere. I suppose when you get this, you will be at it again and harder than ever.

I feel O.K., have been getting out a little more, but working till 9 or 10 P.M. In about ten days, I will be outside, and unless a convoy is coming, will be off duty by 4.30. During convoys, will be on stretcher work. One thing I will miss tho, will be a sleep of about an hour at noon, that I have been getting lately and believe me, it comes in rather handy, when your nights sleep has been disturbed. It is windy and cloudy just now (7 P.M.) two things which cause absolutely no complaint around here. We got the full play of the beautiful (?) harvest moon last night.

I am sure you enjoyed(?) the march in the rain, but it had a good result in getting you back on days.

No. I never see anyone I know and I surely would like to. Every-time we get a new bunch in for the staff, I hope there will be someone on it I know, or from home rather, but no luck yet.

You don’t say who is going down to N.Y. with you but I do hope one of your friends will be. While there you must run over to see Vera. It is a very short run over to Phila. and you can get back the same night all right. It would also be nice if you could get over to Patterson’s, but I don’t think you would find the trip as easy to make. Vera would be so glad to see you and the kiddies are such dears, in fact you could have an afternoon a week over there.

If you have any use for veils – the kind that hang from the hat, let me know, for I can get some of the most beautiful ones here, right at the factory. I have not sent any, as I was not sure that you and Nert. would use them.

The news from the various fronts is most encouraging and to-night comes the news of the big victory in Palestine. The results from this, may include the opening up of the Dardanelles, which would be a very big item just now. However, the next six months will pretty nearly tell the tale.

Well My Dear I must write Mae and possibly Inez yet to-night.

Your loving brother,
Worth.
