I received your box of chocolates the other day and was really pleased to get them. As we dont get but 2 chocolate bars in a week here. I haven’t opened them yet as we are saving all the Xmas cake we (the boys in my billet) have gotten in parcels till Xmas day. And I’m going to surprise the boys with the chocolates. I don’t think any of them have gotten any. Or else they are keeping them for a surprise too.

There are two other boys here from Transcona. But as we don’t all work in the same place I very seldom see them.

I like it here pretty well. Although after its over it will be back to good old Transcona. But I have one thing to be thankful for – and that is to be stationed on a Canadian station.

Well I must go now. Thanking you again for the chocolates. I remain

Yours Truly
