Dear Mother

Well I got around to writing I am doing it in bed. You should come down here for a vacation it is terrible, a real old city with nearly all wooden buildings. Everyone has a wood fire for their cooking and hot water is a treat.

You should have the old house down here it would be filled all the time. The place where I stay is an old frame building not as large or nearly as nice as the old house and they have 95 roomers staying here. They have one real large room and their are 15 men in it.

Gee it was terrible sudden about Bloss, it must be terrible for his family.

Was sorry to hear Uncle Wallace was not so good but hope everyone else is enjoying the best of health.

Have they done anything with Grandma’s House? I would like to buy it myself. Is dad in the village. Why don’t you go down and stay with Beu.

Well there is not very much news to tell about here as we are not allowed to say anything we hear or see.

Well will close for now Give my regards to everyone

Love.
Joe.

P.S. My Address is 305 Brunswick St. Halifax
