Dear Pat.

Well Im a long way from the last place I wrote you a letter from. You probably wont get this letter till after Christmas but Ill wish you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year just the same. Ill be having a lot different Christmas and New Year this year than I had last year.

By the way I hope you havent forgotten to send me Johnnies address. I heard that there keeping him on the west coast as permanent ship’s company. And dont forget that I want a picture of your[self?] as soon as you can get one and also you can get a picture of Johnny and Dorry or all three of you together.

Tell Johnny to try and stay on the West coast as long as he can because this is no cinch over here compared to over there.

By the way give your mother and father, your brother and Myrt. my best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Well Ill close now, so long for now

Love
Lawrence

P.S. Dont forget to write soon.
