Hiya Buck,

Apperently you made out OK down at Pender Island. Did your ever get in the water or was it too cold? Mrs. Hamilton sure is a character. I laughed like a closet at your description of the beach party. Glad to hear you broke about even in the card games. I’m down about 2000 francs since we came over here. Will have to get in another game one of these days and make it up again.

We had a picnic over here to a while ago. Can’t remember if I told you about it or not. We didn’t have any weiners but had lots of marshmellows and spam, chocolate and cheese biscuits. Had a bunch of English nurses from one of the hospitals with us.

Saw some violins in a little French store the other day but don’t know if they were any good or not. They looked pretty new and cheap. Whats this about you and Margaret putting on a recital. If you do Buck, make that violin sing. Youre the one that can do it.

Thanx for the pix of the school picnic. Where were all the boys?

all for now
Sandy
